SACCO Terms & Conditions — Draft v1

1. Membership and eligibility. You must provide accurate identity and contact information. Membership, eligibility, and any cooperative rights are subject to approval and applicable Ugandan law.

2. Your account number. Your verified mobile phone number is your SACCO account identifier. You must notify us if you change or lose control of that number. A phone number alone does not authorize a withdrawal.

3. Savings deposits. Deposits are recorded only after payment-provider verification. Displayed balances may exclude pending or reversed transactions.

4. Fees, taxes and charges. Applicable transaction fees, government taxes and any approved SACCO charges may apply to deposits and withdrawals. Actual amounts must be disclosed before you confirm each transaction. No undisclosed deduction is authorized by this notice.

5. Withdrawals. Withdrawals require a verified account, available cleared funds, identity checks and review. Requests may be delayed or rejected for insufficient funds, fraud concerns, regulatory checks or other lawful reasons. Submitting a request does not guarantee a payout or a payout date.

6. Mobile-money payouts. If enabled, approved payouts may be sent to a verified mobile-money account through an authorized provider. Availability, processing time, limits and fees depend on the provider and regulatory requirements.

7. Security and privacy. Keep your account PIN private. We process your contact and transaction information to manage your account, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations, in line with our published privacy notice.

8. Records and disputes. Keep transaction receipts. Report any discrepancy promptly through SEMAS support at +256 789 721621. Disputes are reviewed using verified transaction records.

9. Changes and cancellation. Updated terms will be presented for acceptance when required. Account closure and return of eligible funds are subject to outstanding obligations and applicable law.

10. Regulatory status. Fully Registered and Licensed. Registration and licensing particulars should be made available to members for independent verification. This statement does not imply deposit insurance unless separately confirmed by the competent authority.

Consent. By approving, you acknowledge reading these terms. This consent does not waive your statutory consumer rights.
